Old Faithful Geyser at Sunrise Yellowstone National Park – Tom Murphy print. Old Faithful is located in Upper Geyser Basin adjacent to Old Faithful Inn. It derived the name because of its somewhat predictable eruption of approximately every 90 minutes. Old Faithful’s eruption can reach anywhere from 90′ to over 175′. Its vent temperature is over 200 degrees and its steam temperature is over 300 degrees.
