Black wolf, alpha male of the Canyon Pack of wolves – Mike Cavaroc photograph. Black wolf 712M was born in 2005 from the Mollies Pack and is one of the oldest known wolves in Yellowstone National park. He has been a park favorite among wolf watchers due to his propensity to use roads and traveling throughout the park. Wolf 712m also has a historic pedigree with the reintroduction of wolves to the park.
